When coming into the league, Brandon Ingram was often lazily compared to Kevin Durant. His length and dexterity made him one of the most intriguing prospects of the past decade. However, Ingram hasn't been quite as good as one of the best scorers ever in Durant.
Needless to say, Ingram has spoken about how Durant is one of the only players that can match his size and guard him.
Ingram told me a few weeks ago that Kevin Durant is the only player who he’s been unable to bother on a jump shot, the only guy he’s guarded that’s longer than him, but he relishes the challenge and has always looked up to KD.

This season has been very interesting for the Lakers' forward Ingram. He's not playing very well next to LeBron James. He prefers to run the offense with the second unit and often needs the ball in his hands to succeed offensively.
He's spoken about his desire to become a better off-ball scorer at length.

Ingram opened up, via the Lakers’ official Twitter account:
“How good guys were moving without the basketball, I think most of the time we’ve been getting the best shot for the team. I think we did really, really good beyond the 3-point line, so we’re shooting with more confidence. Of course on the defensive side, we’re getting better and better each game I think when I’m active and when I’m moving around… I think that’s when I play much better. Just cutting off the basketball and having a chance to attack not only for myself but also for my teammates.”
Ingram is averaging 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 47 percent from the field.
Entering their Christmas Day matchup versus the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers are 19-14 on the year and are sitting fourth in the West.
