NBA Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley has always been hard on LeBron James and the team he plays for. That trend will apparently continue this season now that James is on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barkley says the Lakers aren't a good team and that they will be a lower seed playoff team at best.

“The Lakers aren't a good team,” Barkley said. “The Lakers are a 6th, 7th, 8th seed at best.”

The Lakers enter Thursday with a record of 11-9. That's seventh place in the Western Conference. Los Angeles still have one of the worst defenses in the league. The Lakers are giving up 113.0 points per game, 23rd in the NBA.

Many have questioned James’ move to Los Angeles after the superstar signed a four-year free agent deal with them in July. The roster appears nowhere near ready to compete for a championship in the rugged Western Conference, and the Lakers might even struggle to make the playoffs, considering James is playing with a lot of young players and guys who don’t really fit well next to him.

Unless the team goes on some type of crazy run, the Lakers are going to be battling all season for their playoff lives. The West is too tough and the Lakers are a really young and inexperienced team besides James, Rajon Rondo and Tyson Chandler.
