On the court, the Lakers currently sit at 36-26, good for fifth in the Western Conference at the moment. Los Angeles is hoping for a return to the hardwood for LeBron rather soon as they have tried to tread water in the absences of he and Anthony Davis. Davis is back, and now the Lakers need their Batman to return as they prepare to defend their title from a year ago.

Worst case scenario for LeBron and the Lakers would be slipping down into the play-in tournament portion of the standings (7th-10th). Currently, LA is just two games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers who right now sit with the seven seed in the West.
