Former NBA All-Star Chris Bosh lauded LeBron James on Wednesday afternoon, calling his former teammate the MVP of the league while also labeling the Los Angeles Lakers as his favorite to win the NBA title.
After watching LeBron and the Lakers send a message to the league this past weekend, they are my favorite to win the title. I also think my guy Bron is now leading the MVP race over Giannis. What he's doing in year 17 is nothing short of extraordinary 👑! Agree or disagree? 👇🏿 pic.twitter.com/FKmr7oXvTr

Bosh — who played alongside LeBron as a member of the “Big Three” with the Miami Heat — said he was “very impressed” by the Lakers while also stating James continues to evolve.
Although Bosh acknowledged Giannis Antetokounmpo's tremendous season, he also said LeBron and the Lakers made a “statement” by beating the Bucks at home last Friday.
Moreover, Bosh pointed out the fact that LeBron has played point guard all season, leading the league in assists and orchestrating L.A.'s offense at a high level. The MVP conversation has grown more complicated due in part to a string of exceptional performances from James since the All-Star break.
LeBron has been utterly dominant over the course of his last of his last nine games, averaging 30.0 points, 9.4 assists and 8.2 rebounds while shooting over 55 percent from the field and nearly 37 percent from beyond the arc.

Still, it might be tough to overtake Giannis in the MVP race. He is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the best team in the NBA, and he is doing so playing just over 30 minutes the night.
The Bucks might also have a slightly easier path to the NBA Finals, which could make them the fresher team come June.
However, Chris Bosh is very impressed with what he sees from LeBron James and Co., and he expects that group to ride their momentum to an NBA title.
