LeBron James may have been on the sidelines for the Los Angeles Lakers' tilt against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, but Dennis Schroder made sure that his team wasn't going to miss their superstar too much.

Schroder came up with a huge jam early in the fourth period vs the Mavs and it looked like he's learned quite a lot from LeBron at this point (h/t Sanjesh Singh on Twitter):

For a second there the play looked dead. There appeared to have been a bit of confusion among the Lakers players, which also seemed to have been what the Mavs defense was thinking. Schroder took advantage of the lull and with a quick burst of speed, he left his defender at the top of the key. The veteran guard took it hard to the basket and ended up flushing it down ala LeBron.

We're pretty sure The King himself would have been proud of that one.

The Lakers came into Saturday's matchup needing a win. They were coming off a loss to the Mavs on Thursday and not even the return of Anthony Davis was able to help their case. Schroder knew what was at stake so he made sure he did everything he can to help his side to victory during Saturday's rematch.
