Dwight Howard is really enjoying his second stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Not only are the Lakers winning, but Howard is playing very well off the bench and hasn't been a distraction on or off the court. The future Hall of Famer is even making 3-pointers now — well okay, actually just one, but it still points to how well things are going for Howard in Los Angeles this time around.

After sinking a corner 3 against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, Howard joked with reporters that he should start shooting his free-throws from the 3-point line moving forward:

Howard is shooting just 49.2 percent from the free-throw line this season. The eight-time All-Star, as we all know, has never been a good free-throw shooter.

The Lakers are 19-3 on the season. Howard has appeared in every game and is averaging 7.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting 74.7 percent from the field. After hitting that 3-pointer against the Jazz, Howard is now shooting a clean 50 percent from deep.

The Lakers didn't want to lose DeMarcus Cousins to an ACL tear because Boogie is a gifted post player who can score 20 points in his sleep. However, LA struck gold by signing Howard to a non-guaranteed deal.

All signs point toward the former superstar playing a big role for the Lakers once the playoffs start.
