The 2019-20 NBA season is all about dynamic duos and Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel says he has the best tandem in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
After the Lakers completed their first practice of the season on Saturday, Vogel couldn't hide his excitement when talking about LeBron and AD.
“I think we got the best of them, of all the duos,” Vogel said, via Lakers.com. “We’ve got two top-five players, two guys that really just do it all. I’d put those two guys against anybody in the league.”
LeBron James and Anthony Davis are two of the top-five players in the NBA. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise this season.
Chicago Bulls legend and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan has the best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.91. Want to take a guess who is number two and three on that list? LeBron is second at 27.59 and Davis is third at 27.42.

James averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games last season, his first with the Lakers. The four-time MVP shot 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line.
For the New Orleans Pelicans last season, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.
It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch LeBron and Davis play together this season. Well, fun for the Lakers. Opposing teams are going to have nightmares trying to stop James and Davis.
