The Los Angeles Lakers messed up yet again on Thursday after conceding another game at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder, 107-104. This was LA's second defeat against an underdog OKC side, and it prompted quite a bit of criticism for the supposedly mighty Lakers. Even head coach Frank Vogel had to admit that his team was not at their best on Thursday night.

Vogel was understandably disappointed after the game and he decided to take a bit of a veiled shot at Lakers star Russell Westbrook in his post-game comments (h/t Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation):

It wasn't as if Vogel decided to throw Russ under the bus here, but it is clear that the Lakers coach wasn't too pleased about Westbrook's attempt at a game-tying triple late in the ballgame. It looks like coach Frank drew up a different play for that particular situation, and maybe Russ never got the memo.

We shouldn't read too much into this, though. For what it's worth, Westbrook actually had another noteworthy performance for the Lakers in the loss, finishing with 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists. It would have been great if had made that game-tying trey in crunch time, but such are the breaks of the game.
