It was earlier reported that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James could be out of action for much longer than first anticipated. With the four-time NBA champ currently dealing with an abdominal strain, there have been whispers of LeBron potentially missing up to two months because of the injury.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has spoken out on LeBron's injury, and unfortunately, Vogel's update does not appear to bode well for James' status in the short-term (h/t Jovan Buha of The Athletic):
Frank Vogel says there is no update or timetable yet for LeBron James’ return.

Vogel did not provide any details about LeBron's injury nor did he give a projected timetable for his return. This could point to the fact that the Lakers superstar is nowhere near healthy enough to take the court anytime soon.
When LeBron's injury was first reported, the general belief was that he was going to be sidelined for at least one week. It now seems that James could be out of action for much longer. According to LeBron's former strength and conditioning coach Tim DiFrancesco, the Lakers star could be looking at a four-to-eight-week timetable. For what it's worth, Vogel did not refute this report in his most recent update.
LeBron is no spring chicken and it's no secret that the Lakers intend to manage his load throughout the regular season. As such, it wouldn't be surprising if James actually sits out at least a month because of this most recent injury.
