While the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors are in a middle of a fierce basketball warfare in the 2018 NBA Finals, a pair of Los Angeles Lakers youngsters are dedicating some of their free time roasting each other online.

In the latest showdown in their growing history of social media tussles, Lakers shooting guard Josh Hart and fellow rookie Kyle Kuzma had a hilarious exchange on Twitter that snowballed into a thread.

It started when Josh Hart tweeted about his excitement over the Washington Capitals’ win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday.

Not one to waste an opportunity to razz his teammate, Kuzma derided Hart for being a pretentious hockey fan.

Hart shot back and tried to ridicule Detroit (Kuzma is from Flint, Michigan). Fortunately for Hart, Kuzma did not reply by saying the Detroit Red Wings have won 11 more Stanley Cups than the Caps. Still, Kuzma pulled another funny one from his bag of comebacks.

Hart may have won this round, however, by dropping the mic with this retort.

Indeed, Hart had an impressive run to end his rookie season, as he averaged 23.7 points in his last four games, including a 30-point performance in the Lakers’ season finale, a 115-110 win over the L.A. Clippers on Apr. 11.
