Los Angeles Lakers center Andre Drummond has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics. Drummond, who the Lakers previously acquired via the buyout market, is still recovering from the toe injury he hurt versus the Milwaukee Bucks in his debut.
Drummond’s toe was stepped on during the Brooklyn Nets game where he finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. The Lakers also might be without point guard Dennis Schroder (right foot infection) and forward Markieff Morris (ankle) versus the Celtics.
So, the AD news is obviously good.
Meanwhile, LAL could be down 3 starters for tonight’s game against Boston; Vogel said he’ll wait until 30 minutes prior to reveal his lineup.
Some potential options: Gasol for Drummond, Kuzma for Morris, THT for Schroder, but we’ll see.

Frank Vogel's update on his starting PG: "[Dennis] Schroder is having trouble putting pressure on his foot. He has an infection in the ball of his foot, so he's going to try to warm up, but it's probably unlikely that he plays."

However, good news for the Lakers is that superstar Anthony Davis has been cleared to play for full on-court activity. Davis could be back versus the Utah Jazz who the Lakers face on Saturday and Monday. The Brow will also be on a minutes restriction, specifically 15 minutes, to ramp up.
Anthony Davis has been cleared for full on-court activity.
“Good news,” said Vogel.

If there’s one adversity the Lakers have dealt with all season it’s the injury bug. The team is coming off the shortest offseason in sports history and its effects are showing as of late. Multiple players have been in and out of the lineup but thankfully for LA, their depth has helped them get to tread water.
The Lakers will most likely have Marc Gasol, Talen Horton-Tucker, Wesley Matthews, Kyle Kuzma, and Montrezl Harrell on Wednesday versus the streaking Celtics. The goal for the defending champions right now is to win as many games as they can while their superstars remain out of the lineup. While head coach Frank Vogel has made it clear that they don’t pay attention to the standings, it’ll be great for the Lakers if they stay out of the play-in tournament.
