The Los Angeles Lakers were dealt a big blow on Wednesday night when they lost starting point guard Rajon Rondo to a fractured hand. Lakers talisman LeBron James shared his thoughts on the injury after their victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

It turned out to be a costly win for the Lakers as they will now be without the services of their veteran guard for at least a couple of weeks. As James implied, Rondo may require surgery on his broken hand, which means that he should be sidelined for an extended period.
It is indeed next man up for the purple and gold, and sophomore guard Lonzo Ball is set to take on the recently-vacated starting PG spot. The 21-year-old will re-claim the starting role he had last season, which he lost upon the arrival of Rondo.
LeBron went on to say that he and the rest of the Lakers will need to get behind Rondo here and do everything in their power to keep his spirits up while he deals with his injury.

The Lakers notched their fourth straight win against the Blazers on Wednesday, 126-117, and this was their sixth victory in the last seven games. The team appears to have finally gotten their groove after a slow start. Hopefully, the loss of Rondo does not considerably set them back, as they hope to build on the momentum they have worked so hard to establish.
