The Milwaukee Bucks took the Los Angeles Lakers' best punch and held on to grab bragging rights with a 111-104 win at home, but purple-and-gold stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are unshaken by the loss, even after losing two straight for the first time this season.
Davis battled through a sore right ankle and isn't going to stop:
“We're resilient. We're going to find ways to win,” Anthony Davis said after he played the entire second half on a sore right ankle attempting to bring L.A. back from a 21-point deficit at Milwaukee, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “We're going to keep battling. That's our mindset all year. Even though we did lose two in a row, our mindset is still, let's not lose two in a row. Let's not drop another after we lose one, learn from the first one and do what we can to make sure the next one we come out with a victory.”
The Lakers were flying high with a 24-3 record until they ran into the Indiana Pacers, dropping their last game before a blockbuster tilt between the best teams in each conference. The team had set an internal goal of not losing two games in a row the entire season, but that hope is now kaput before reaching the 30-game mark.

“You want to make goals along the process, along the way, along the marathon,” said James. “And for us to play exceptional basketball for the majority of this part of the season, it's commitment of focus, it's a commitment of what we're trying to do: Continue to get better and just be laser sharp for a majority of the process so far. So we're just going to try to continue that.”
The Lakers' ultimate goal should be to peak at the right time for their playoff run, where they're expected to perform and challenge for the title. What happens in the regular season will matter little if King James and The Brow can deliver a title to a city thirsty for one after years of losing out on the postseason.
