Lakers star LeBron James may not have been a participant in the 2019 NBA Playoffs, but that doesn't mean he wasn't an active viewer.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar says that he watched every single game this past postseason:
“You make it sound bad, I enjoyed watching basketball,” James said at media day, via ClutchPoints. “I didn't miss one game. Not one. I watched every single one of them.”
James was a spectator in the playoffs for the first time since his second year in the league in 2005, as the Lakers won just 37 game and missed the postseason.
It was part of a nightmarish first season in Los Angeles for LeBron, who missed over a month between December and January due to a groin injury and watched the Lakers plummet in the standings.
By the time James returned, it was too late, and due to a disconnect between James and his teammates, LA appeared to play even worse after James came back.

In June, Los Angeles swung a blockbuster trade to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers then followed that up by signing key veterans such as Danny Green, Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard, not to mention retaining pieces like Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee.
The Lakers have not made the playoffs since the 2012-13 campaign, representing the longest postseason drought in the history of the franchise.
However, barring injuries or unforeseen circumstances, that dry stretch will almost certainly end this year.
