The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be major players this summer after failing to make the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season despite adding four-time MVP LeBron James to the lineup. The Lakers have enough cap space to sign one more player to a max contract, and they will make a play for the top stars on the market. They will also try again to acquire Anthony Davis.
However, there is speculation around the league that some of the top available stars don't want to play for the Lakers, and one of the reasons is LeBron himself.
But James remains confident that the team will be able to land a star to play with him this summer. He told Bleacher Report's Howard Beck that the speculation about players not wanting to team up with him are overblown. LeBron believes that they actually like to play with him:

James stressed the fact that getting another stud is important for him and the Lakers, and he is confident about the stars aligning:
“It’s very critical to me and my future. And I’m positive and very optimistic that Magic and Rob and the franchise will be great.”
LeBron James will play his 17th year in the NBA next season, and as he continues to age, it will become more and more important for the Lakers to surround him with talent that will be capable of helping him bring a championship or two to the city of Los Angeles.
