The Los Angeles Lakers have faced some ridicule throughout the season for constructing a team that feels a decade too late. Why not double down on the decision and sign a former purple and gold favorite just to spite all the haters?
That's hilariously what LeBron James suggested in jest during his postgame interview after the Lakers' 132-123 win over the Houston Rockets. The Spectrum panel asking King James the questions included two-time Lakers forward Metta World Peace, who suggested he was ready for a 10-day deal.
“Hey listen, Metta, stay ready. We may need your a– man,” said LeBron James to the former Lakers veteran.

If Joe Johnson can make a comeback with the Boston Celtics at 40, it's not the craziest idea to have the man formerly known as Ron Artest don a Lakers uniform once again, right? Imagine the damage a prime Metta World Peace could've done as a premiere role player on this roster.
The Lakers have been ravaged by injuries all season, even before the latest rise in COVID-19 cases pushing players into health and safety protocols.
Now with a depleted roster that still haven't found the right chemistry to succeed, there's even more weight on the shoulders of LeBron James.
