LeBron James faced off against his old team and proceeded to make history for his new one. King James etched himself in Los Angeles Lakers lore once again with yet another historic feat that not even Kobe Bryant was able to do.
LeBron James led the way for the Lakers in a 131-120 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, finishing with a monster stat line of 38 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.
King James has been so impressive in his four-year Lakers run despite being in what's supposed to be the twilight of his career that he's made these sorts of stat lines seem relatively ordinary.
But believe it or not, that's just the second time LeBron James has recorded a 35-point triple-double throughout his Lakers stint, making him just the fifth player in franchise history who's accomplished the said feat.

LeBron James is now one of 5 @Lakers to record multiple 35+ point triple-doubles. Tonight is his second time.
He joins Elgin Baylor (6x), Jerry West (4x), Magic Johnson (3x), and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (2x). https://t.co/l8X9Md5XNG

LeBron James was in fine form on Monday night against the Cavs and even made sure to posterize his former star running mate in Kevin Love. Inarguably the best two points of his 38 on the evening.
It's clear that even in his age-37 season, he's still playing like one of the best players in the entire NBA – and breaking franchise records in the process.
