Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James passed Lakers legend Kobe Bryant Saturday on the NBA's all-time 30-point games list.
James scored 35 points in a 110-106 road loss to the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron now ranks fourth all-time in most 30-point games, trailing only Karl Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, and Michael Jordan in NBA history.

It's pretty incredible that LeBron James has scored this many points in his career. He's arguably the most unselfish superstar in NBA history. LeBron is always looking to make the right pass first before he has to score. It just shows how easy it is for James to get baskets, even without having a consistent perimeter game.

The Lakers are now 2-4 on the season with the loss to the Spurs. It's still early in the year, but it looks like LeBron James might have to average 30 points per game this season for the Lakers to stay competitive. He entered Saturday averaging 25.8 points per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor, but only 17.2 percent from beyond the arc — a far cry from his improved clip last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James also surpassed Dirk Nowitzki and Shaquille O'Neal in the all-time leaderboard for total points and field goals made, respectively.
