Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs, LeBron James scored his 31,188th point in the NBA, passing Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki for sixth place on the all-time scoring list.

LeBron James entered Saturday with 31,167 career points, needing just 21 points to pass Dirk Nowitzki and become the game's active leader in points scored. The King got his 21st point on a fadeaway jumper with 7:51 left in the third quarter.

Next on the list for LeBron James to pass is Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 31,419 points in his illustrious career. There's a chance James could pass both Wilt Chamberlain and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan (32,292) this season.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387 points), Karl Malone (36,928 points) and Kobe Bryant (33,643 points) are the top three scorers in NBA history. LeBron James turns 34 in December, but he has shown no signs of slowing down.
There's a chance James could break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record one day, a record many thought would stand forever. Perhaps the craziest fact surrounding all these is that James is naturally a pass-first type of guy.
