The sons of Los Angeles Lakers' superstar LeBron James will be leaving Santa Monica Crossroads for Sierra Canyon High School, according to Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times.

Bronny, the elder of the two brothers, and Bryce spent one year a Santa Monica Crossroads after moving out to Los Angeles with LeBron when the 34-year-old signed with the Lakers last summer.

Bronny is entering ninth grade, and it's certainly worth noting that the move will allow him to team up with Dwyane Wade's son, Zaire, at the school.

Sierra Canyon is known as a great basketball school, as both the boys' and girls' teams won CIF State Open Division championships this past season.

LeBron just completed his first season in Los Angeles, averaging 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals over 35.2 minutes per game while shooting 51 percent from the floor, 33.9 percent from three-point range and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line.

However, in spite of his usual brilliant numbers, James played in just 55 games, the lowest mark of his career. He missed over a month between December and January with a groin injury, and toward the end of the season, the Lakers rested James periodically with the team out of playoff contention.

It not only marked the first time that James had suffered a legitimately serious injury during his 16-year NBA career, but also represented the first time that a LeBron-led team failed to qualify for the postseason since his second year in the league back in 2005.

The Lakers won just 37 games this past season and have not made the playoffs since 2013.

Up until beginning their six-year playoff absence during the 2013-14 campaign, the Lakers franchise had missed the playoffs just five times overall.
