It's not every day that you find yourself in a photo with none other than LeBron James. And that was exactly what happened to 11-year-old Josh Boyman over the weekend. Boyman, who was present in the Los Angeles Lakers' Summer League game against the Detroit Pistons, was more than ecstatic when he saw his biggest idol walk in the Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday. His excitement, however, flew off the roof when he leaned in to try and take the perfect photo with LeBron from the stands as the four-time MVP was exiting the arena.
The rest, as they all say, is history (via House of Highlights):

Now that's an epic photo.
Boyman was so thrilled that he didn't even mind seeing his team lose 103-86. As far as he was concerned, he got a photo with one of the sports' biggest icons and that's all that matters. According to the 11-year-old, this also wasn't his first time to get up close and personal with LeBron James. But, as per Boyman, this was definitely the most memorable one.
“I kind of have experience with LeBron. I've been turned down for an autograph and a selfie for like three times already and I just wanted to get it over with and luckily it happened,” Boyman told ESPN.
As an NBA fan, you love to see these things happen. This is what NBA Summer League is all about – bringing fans closer to the game and, in the rarest of times, even their biggest idols.
