With the NBA regular season coming to an end, LeBron James shared some final thoughts on the Lakers season. It was undoubtedly a difficult year for Los Angeles and LeBron made that clear in some of his answers to questions. He was asked if LA needed to improve on offense, defense, or getting younger in the offseason, and his answer told the story of the Lakers 2021-2022 campaign.
“All three.”
He also explained that he wants to earn more free throws next season by “tricking the refs.”

Although LeBron may have been somewhat joking with that comment, the rest of the day was extremely serious for the Lakers. There are numerous stirrings about a potential Russell Westbrook trade, and the Lakers officially fired coach Frank Vogel on Monday. It is difficult to blame Vogel for the team's struggles but he ultimately took the fall. Getting rid of Westbrook and his massive contract will prove to be far more challenging.
But there is no doubt that the team needs to find a way to improve in all facets of the game this offseason.

“I'm not going to sit here and make decisions for the front office … but I love being a teammate with Russ.”
He also addressed Frank Vogel before the coach was officially let go.
“I don't know what's going to happen with Frank but I got nothing but respect for him.”
LeBron and the Lakers are undoubtedly going to have a very interesting offseason in Los Angeles.
