It’s been a couple of months since Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s widowed wife Vanessa Bryant has been fighting for the rights to reveal the name of deputies who insensitively shared Bryant’s plane crash photos last January 2020. Mrs. Bryant sued and sought damages for negligence and invasion of privacy, as she rightfully deserved to do so.

On Instagram, Bryant’s widowed wife finally shared that she won the case last March 9 and dropped the names of the officers who took these insensitive photos on Wednesday, March 17. There were four names who are guilty of sharing photos of Bryant’s remains that included his daughter Gianna and seven others that were killed in the crash. According to the documents posted by Bryant’s wife, one officer was even reported to have shared these photos humorously to a bartender in an establishment in Los Angeles.

“Transparency promotes accountability. We look forward to presenting Mrs. Bryant’s case in open court,” says Bryant’s attorney, Luis Li via the documents Mrs.Bryant shared last March 9.

The Los Angeles County lawyers first insisted on keeping the deputies’ names under seal to protect these officers from hackers and locating their personal details like their addresses. However, the lawyers were rejected by U.S. District Judge John F. Walter, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Mrs.Bryant has had a tough year dealing with the death of her husband and daughter. It didn’t get any easier for her knowing that these officers insensitively shared the photos of her husband and daughter's crash. Mrs. Bryant has constantly been a rock for her family over the difficult past couple of months.
