The Los Angeles Lakers will try and trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis again this summer after failing to acquire him at the February trade deadline.

ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, though, doesn't like the Lakers' chances of getting Davis.

“Do I love their chances? I do not,” Windhorst told Erik Garcia Gundersen of LeBron Wire. “Because the prime asset they could offer is Brandon Ingram and Ingram has had a very unfortunate thing happen and there’s just a lot of uncertainty there. I don’t like their chances of pulling it off but they’ve got to go back to the Well.”

The Lakers pretty much made their whole roster available at the February trade deadline in trade talks with the Pelicans except superstar LeBron James.

All the trade talks got leaked to the media and it is believed that tore the Lakers' locker room apart.

The Boston Celtics will be able to get involved in the Davis trade talks this summer. They weren't able to at the trade deadline because of the Rose Rule. Once Kyrie Irving opts out of his 2019-20 player option with the Celtics, Boston can call the Pelicans and discuss a Davis trade.

LA's best assets are Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. However, Ingram's value around the league went down after he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his shoulder.
