The Los Angeles Lakers are not having a rosy season, which is why Frank Vogel has been an easy target for the dissatisfied fans of the Purple and Gold. But it appears that Vogel is not in any danger of losing his job, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN (h/t Doric Sam of Bleacher Report).
“It's my understanding that the Lakers are moving forward with Frank Vogel,” ESPN's Dave McMenamin said on SportsCenter on Monday. “I anticipate him to be head coach for the remainder of this season.”

Despite LeBron James having an impressive run that's not normal for a 37-year-old, the Lakers are merely hovering around .500 basketball for the most part of the 2021-22 NBA season. After losing to the Miami Heat on the road, the Lakers are back to below .500 (23-24) and are currently on the edge of the playoff picture in the Western Conference.
However, the Lakers seem to be close to getting a massive shot in the arm. Big man Anthony Davis, who's been out for weeks due to a knee problem, is reportedly about to return to action. He'll definitely be a big boost for the Lakers, as he'll fix plenty of his team's problems on both ends of the floor.
