In the last few months, much has been made about the outlandish statements from LaVar Ball mainly about his son Lonzo through the media.
It didn't take long for him to provide another quite confident stance regarding his two other sons LaMelo and LiAngelo's future in college and the NBA, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
“All my boys are gonna be one-and-done. Gelo [LiAngelo] is going [to] be one-and-done whether he’s good or bad,” LaVar said. “I’m going to put him in the draft, hope they don’t take him. Bring him into the Lakers as a free agent, let him wind up with his brother and watch how good they play together.”
“I’m going to do the same thing with Melo,” LaVar said. “And we get three of the Ball boys on the Lakers together, and we gonna go championship, championship, championship, championship, championship. You think I’m playing? You saw what they did in high school.”
The trio of Ball boys achieved much success during their time together at Chino Hills winning the CIF state championship together while holding an undefeated record. They clearly hold much comfortability with each on the court.
Article Continues BelowLonzo Ball is at the outset of being one of the top picks in this year's draft with a high chance of being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick. However, even if he were to land with the Lakers, it's hard to predict what will happen with both LaMelo and LiAngelo in the coming years.
The two are set to play at UCLA in the next few years, but each could have very different paths to the NBA. LaVar Ball is obviously hoping that he can once again talk into existence these possibilities in the way he believes he did so with the Lakers landing the second overall pick last month.
If Lonzo does land in Los Angeles at the No.2 spot in the NBA Draft, there will be plenty more chatter from LaVar about this scenario.
