The Twitter investigators have struck once again. An old tweet sent by New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis has resurfaced on the day that news broke he has requested a trade from the Pelicans.

Back in 2011, when Anthony Davis was at the University of Kentucky, AD tweeted that no one likes the Los Angeles Lakers, the team he has been most heavily linked to since signing with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports before the 2018-19 season began.

Paul, of course, is the agent of Lakers star small forward LeBron James:

It's remarkable how players' old tweets resurface every single time a big event happens. It's almost an anomaly when an old tweet doesn't come up nowadays. The most famous example of this was when Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer of 2016 to sign with the Golden State Warriors.

KD infamously tweeted back in 2010 that everyone in the NBA was joining superteams instead of trying to beat them, and then he went and did the exact thing he was complaining about:

Since Anthony Davis is going to be traded, he's not going to receive the same venom from the fans that Durant did. It's not even a guarantee that AD will end up on the Lakers anyway. It's just crazy how there's a tweet for everything now.
