The Memphis Grizzlies never say die. Ja Morant showed off his superstar form and got help from Brandon Clarke and Desmond Bane to once again pull off a comeback win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Grizzlies are now up 3-2 in the first round of the NBA playoffs after a thrilling 111-109 win.
Morant recorded a game-high 30 points to go along with 13 rebounds and a game-high nine assists. The only player to get more rebounds than him was Clarke, whose 15 boards were complimented by 21 points on 9-14 shooting. Bane contributed 25 points, four rebounds and three blocks.
The Grizzlies didn't gave a comeback as epic as their one in Game 3 but they still stole another huge win and silenced Minnesota's trash talk. The series is now in their control as Game 6 approaches. Two players, in particular, stepped up to help the Grizz take down the Wolves in the instant NBA playoffs classic.
2 biggest reasons Grizzlies pulled off another miracle comeback vs. Timberwolves
2. Brandon Clarke completely dominated the offensive glass
Seven. That's how many offensive rebounds Clarke recorded in the fourth quarter. His fight on the glass helped power the Grizzlies to a 37-point fourth quarter, including a 23-10 run in the final seven minutes to overcome an 11-point deficit.
Another key number is nine. That's how many second-chance points Clarke was responsible for because of his rebounds. His biggest play of the night was swatting a missed shot right into the hands of Morant, who sunk a triple that gave Memphis the lead.

All quarter long, Clarke acted as a heat-seeking-missile to the ball, coming up with second chances like clockwork. His teammate, Steven Adams, led the NBA with 4.6 offensive rebounds per game this season while playing 26.3 minutes per game. Against the Timberwolves, Clarke almost doubled that output in just under 12 minutes.

For a period stretching over the final seven minutes of the contest, the Timberwolves only held the Grizzlies to one missed shot on a single possession on one occasion. Only once did the Wolves force a miss and collect the board during a period of time that lasted over half of the final period. Clarke's Dennis Rodman impersonation is to thank for that.
1. Ja Morant went superstar mode
The Grizzlies owe their win mostly to Morant, who went off when they needed it the most. After winning the Most Improved Player Award, he showed why he earned it.
Morant scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, nine of which came from the free-throw line. The Timberwolves had 24 in the same amount of time. The pressure that Morant put on the Timberwolves was too much for them to handle. He shot 4-9 from the field and 9-10 from the charity stripe in the final frame.
After Minnesota tied the game with a triple from Anthony Edwards, he closed out the game with an acrobatic, left-handed layup.

Morant's call request will be picked up on Friday night when the Grizzlies travel to Minnesota for what could be the decisive Game 6. With another Ja Morant masterclass in crunch time or if Brandon Clarke turns into Rodman again, the Grizzlies should be able to advance in the NBA playoffs.
