Memphis is 19-30 on the season, 14th place in the Western Conference standings. The team is currently on an eight-game losing streak.

Along with All-Star center Marc Gasol and veteran point guard Mike Conley, Temple is drawing trade interest around the league with the deadline coming up. The Grizzlies are actively listening to trade offers for Conley and Gasol, while it is believed teams are very interested in getting Temple as well since he's a sound defender who can stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting.

Memphis acquired Temple last summer from the Sacramento Kings. He is making $8.0 million this season and will become an unrestricted free agent after the season ends.

Temple has career averages of 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 488 games with the Houston Rockets, Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Grizzlies.
