As soon as Perkins made the comparison to Beyonce, the whole NBA Countdown set went nuts. Morant might not be quite that popular, but he is certainly gaining traction.

Morant's game has a certain level of flash and pizazz to it. During this year's NBA All-Star game, despite Stephen Curry's three-point barrage stealing the show, Morant had the biggest highlight plays of the game.

The Memphis Grizzlies are enjoying their best season in years, with Morant leading the way. Memphis is 43-20, third in the Western Conference and the entire NBA. They are only a half game behind the Golden State Warriors for second place also. Morant individually is having a fantastic season. He is averaging over 27 points per game, to go along with six rebounds and six assists and has the fifth best odds at league MVP in Las Vegas.
