Thanks to Ja Morant's late-game heroics, the Memphis Grizzlies picked up a win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday. After the game, Morant flexed his clutch gene with a five-word tweet.

Morant retweeted his crucial layup against a hoard of Suns defenders with a caption that boasted of how he approaches the fourth quarter. The bucket, with a little over 30 seconds left, gave the Grizzlies a three-point lead. It was eventually enough to give them the hard-earned 108-104 win for their fifth straight victory.

Morant had 17 points and 10 assists in his second game back after a left ankle injury. Six other Grizzlies scored in double figures led by Brandon Clarke who also had 17 markers, while Grayson Allen and Xavier Tillman chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively.

After the game, Clarke heaped praise on the 21-year-old Morant. From his observation, the reigning Rookie of the Year was patient enough to read the defense before attacking (via ESPN).

“Ja has a crazy good feel for the game. I feel like those first three quarters, he's just kind of like watching the defense, watching us, seeing what the defense gives him. By the fourth quarter, he's just kind of like already figured out everything with that, and he's able to get in the paint, get his shot off, get his teammates shots.”

After a poor start, the Ja Morant and the Grizzlies are now 7-6 in the season. They have a chance to extend their winning streak to seven games when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers twice on the road before heading home to host the Sacramento Kings.
