The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the most surprising teams in the Association this season. While Ja Morant is playing at an MVP level, his supporting cast is also putting in work. At 45-22, they've been doing all of this damage without one of their best players for most of the campaign: Dillon Brooks.

However, the Canadian is set to return to the Grizzlies lineup on the upcoming road trip after playing just 21 games in 2021/22 so far. Via Tim McMahon:

The 26-year-old hasn't played since January due to an ankle injury. Brooks is a force on both ends and put his brilliance on full display in the playoffs last year, averaging 25.8 points in the first round against the Jazz as the Grizzlies lost in five games. Although the sample size is small this season, the former Oregon standout is putting up 18.4 points and 3.3 boards per night on a 42% clip from the field.

Memphis has such a nice core around Morant, most notably Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. But now with Brooks returning to the fold, Taylor Jenkins' squad becomes even scarier. The Grizzlies hit the road on Sunday to face the Thunder and have a total of three games next week away from the FedEx Center. That being said, Dillon Brooks should be back on the court in one of those games. Needless to say, Memphis will be absolutely thrilled to have his energy around again, on and off the court.
