Not many expected the Memphis Grizzlies to come away with the victory over Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in Friday's play-in game. They did, though, and Ja Morant made sure to call out the doubters after their highly impressive victory.

It did not come as a surprise that most of the pundits had the Warriors winning this one, but as it turns out, ESPN analyst Monica McNutt decided to against the flow:

The Grizzlies social team posted the predictions list on their Twitter page right after the win. Clearly, the odds were stacked against Memphis. However, not even an epic performance from Steph Curry himself was enough to lift the Dubs over the Grizzlies.

Ja Morant himself came across the post and decided to send out a special shout out for Monica:

Take that, haters. Morant and Co. were definitely the underdogs against the Dubs, but they proved us all wrong with what was nothing short of a tremendous all-around performance to secure a highly-coveted playoffs berth. Well, everyone except Monica McNutt.

Friday's win allowed the Grizzlies to set a date with the top-seeded Utah Jazz in the first round. The bookmakers have already determined the favorites for that series and it's not at all surprising that Memphis is the underdog yet again. It's going to be an extremely tough test for Morant and his Grizzlies, but learning from the great Monica McNutt, it would be a bad idea to count Memphis out at this point.
