Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant further strengthened his claim for this year's MVP title after a mind-blowing performance against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. The 22-year-old dropped a career-high 52 points over Gregg Popovich's men as Morant put on a show for the ages.
As a matter of fact, even Luka Doncic could not help but heap praise on Morant. When asked if he caught wind of Ja's showing against the Spurs, the Mavs star revealed how he believes Morant is playing like an MVP right now:
“I saw the dunk and the last-second buzzer-beater. Amazing,” Doncic told Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News. “He's been playing amazing this season, MVP level. Everybody saw this season what he is, and he's an unbelievable player, unbelievable skills and so fun to watch.”

Luka is no scrub himself and he's had quite a year with the Mavs as well. However, there's no denying that it's Morant and his Grizzlies who have been grabbing headlines of late.
Doncic is one of a handful of young players in today's NBA that is in contention for being the face of the league in the near future. Another man that's making a stake for this title is Ja Morant. However this narrative ends up, what is clear is that the league is in good hands.
