The Memphis Grizzlies are on the brink of getting their franchise star back in the mix. After 12 games out due to a knee sprain, Ja Morant is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder:
After 12 games out, Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been updated to questionable for tonight’s game against Oklahoma City. Morant has been recovering from a left knee sprain and a stint in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

As noted by Stein, he also spent time in COVID-19 protocols. Surprisingly enough, the Grizzlies went an impressive 10-2 with Morant sidelined as Jaren Jackson, Dillon Brooks, and Desmond Bane all stepped up heavily.

Nevertheless, Memphis will be thrilled to have Ja in the fold again because he was truly in the midst of an All-Star campaign. The former Rookie of the Year is averaging 24.1 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.6 rebounds in 19 games. Morant is also shooting 48% from the field and 36% from three-point land.
The 22-year-old exited November 26th's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks with an apparent knee injury and it honestly didn't look good because he could barely put pressure on it. But thankfully, it didn't end up being too serious.
The Grizzlies are currently rolling with a 19-12 record which puts them in fourth place in the always competitive Western Conference. It will be interesting to see if they can stay hot as Morant's return inches closer, whether it's on Monday night or later this week. As for NBA fans as a whole, we can't wait to see one of the most exciting players in the Association ball out again with high-flying dunks and filthy dimes.
