The Memphis Grizzlies are close to finalizing an agreement with Cal standout Ivan Rabb, closing in on a three-year deal, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.
Rabb excelled in his second season at Cal, posting a double-double of 14 points, 10.5 rebounds, and a block per game — enough to warrant the eyes of the Grizzlies, who traded for the 35th pick and drafted the 6-foot-10 big man with it.

Memphis now has 15 players under contract, not including Rabb or Green, who started at power forward for the team last season.
The Grizzlies, like many other teams, plan to have some youth infusion after letting veterans Vince Carter and Randolph go this offseason, both signing with the Sacramento Kings, who are hopeful to put a marred reputation under wraps with great veteran leadership.
Rabb shot an impressive 41 percent from deep during his two years with the Golden Bears, but was rather selective with his attempts. If he can become a consistent scorer from the perimeter, he could easily challenge Green for his spot in the near future with a more polished all-around game.
