DJ Stephens of the Memphis Grizzlies unleashed a series of insane pregame dunks Monday night ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. As amazing as his slams were, it begs the question: is he preparing to join the Slam Dunk Contest?
Check out the clip below where Stephens casually cocked the ball way back before throwing it down.

The 6-foot-5 Stephens entered the league in 2013 as an undrafted prospect. He played for the Miami Heat in the Summer League of that year but it wasn't until 2014 that he played in his first NBA game for the Milwaukee Bucks.
He went in and out of the NBA, signing deals and being waived before the regular season. He spent some time in the G League and had stints abroad particularly in Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Puerto Rico, and France, among others.
Now, the Grizzlies' 27-year-old leaper is back in the league. Though he hasn't played a single game thus far, his pregame showcase pretty much sums up his elite athletic ability. Reports reveal that he has a 46-inch running vertical jump — the highest ever measured by the league.
