Memphis Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas spoiled the Houston Rockets' comeback by nailing the game-winning free throw in overtime.

The Grizzlies entered the fourth quarter with a 19-point lead over the Rockets. But they very well knew that a comeback led by James Harden was about to ensue. The reigning MVP drained 3-pointer after 3-pointer. Gerald Green, too, chipped in several long-distance connections.

The game eventually went to overtime. The momentum was seemingly on the Rockets' side, especially in the last 30 seconds of the extra period. The Grizzlies weren't able to convert on a set play to win the game.

However, Valanciunas was there for the offensive rebound and got fouled as he went for a follow-up. The end of the game was decided by a free throw with 0.1 seconds left. All Valanciunas had to do was convert one to seal the victory.

It was a great win for the Grizzlies. They were almost at the brink of embarrassment right in front of their home crowd. Valanciunas logged in a double-double with 33 points and 15 rebounds. Mike Conley led the team with 35 points including six 3-pointers and eight assists.

The Rockets, for their part, received another outburst from Harden who finished with 57 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. He was 9-of-17 from 3-point land and a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line. Other contributors included Chris Paul who had 18 points and seven assists. Clint Capela had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
