The Miami Heat were this close to making it back to the NBA Finals. After trailing for nearly the entire game, they went on a spirited comeback attempt in the final minutes of Game 7. Victory was nearly in their grasp… until it wasn't. The Celtics stood strong and punched their ticket to the Finals, at the expense of the Heat.
Heat players were understandably frustrated about the outcome of the game. Bam Adebayo had himself a monstrous Game 7, but his and Jimmy Butler's heroics weren't enough. After the game, Adebayo was seen tearing his jersey in half in frustration. (via ClutchPoints)

With the Heat's backs against the wall, Bam Adebayo saved his best for last in Game 7. His scoring in the early parts of the game were the only thing keeping the Celtics from pulling away for good. Of course, his defensive impact was there as well, as they did everything they could to stay in the game.
Unfortunately for Miami, the goddess of victory wasn't smiling on them on Sunday night. Jimmy Butler took an ill-fated three-pointer with 17 seconds left that cost them the win. It was a tragic ending to what could've been a fairy tale story for this team.
The Heat are now looking forward to next campaign. This season was arguably their best shot at winning a title. Could they replicate the same production next year? Butler, Kyle Lowry, and PJ Tucker are all getting older. The responsibility will fall more on Bam and Tyler Herro's shoulders to carry this team to the promised land.
