For almost as long as we can all remember, LeBron James has been ‘The King' of the NBA. Now that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one win away from winning his first-ever NBA title, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar is in a unique position to possibly steal the coveted crown.

According to Fox Sports' Nick Wright who, by the way, is one of the biggest LeBron James fans, Giannis can ‘potentially' grab the crown from the four-time NBA champion with a win in Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

“I think officially, potentially, if they [Bucks] finish it off, take the crown from LeBron,” Wright said on First Things First.

While discussing the iconic play in Game 5 where Giannis silenced the Phoenix Suns Arena with one of the best plays of the season, with LeBron James sitting courtside, Wright has quick to tip his hat to the two-time MVP who's been absolutely phenomenal in his first-ever NBA Finals stint. Wright even referred to the play as ‘the culmination of a lifetime of hard work' as Giannis soared way up to catch a perfect lob from Jrue Holiday to seal the pivotal road win against the Suns.

It's been almost two years since the Bucks star made it official that he's coming for James' throne by crowning himself in a regular-season game against LeBron's Los Angeles Lakers in December 2019. A lot of people were quick to write him off and call him out for the slander against ‘The King'. But, now that he's one win away from claiming his first-ever NBA title, Giannis sitting on the NBA's throne at the end of this season isn't quite as far-fetched as it initially seemed.
