Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo remains uncommitted about his future with the team following a recent interview with Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.
Although he still has one year left on his contract with the Bucks, the reigning back-to-back NBA MVP has continued to be bombarded with questions about what will his decision be at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
The Greek Freak recently gave a candid answer to Aftonbladet's Alexander Nilsson.
“I do not know what the plan is. It depends on what decisions they make. If they make the right decision, I’ll be there for many years. If they do not, we’ll see. The NBA is business and we take it day by day. Hopefully we can succeed together,” Giannis shared.
Bucks fans were recently given hope for a possible Giannis re-signing after the 25-year-old superstar bared on Twitter that he wants to break the franchise's single-game scoring record set by Michael Redd. But judging by his most recent interview, it seems that there really is a 50-50 chance on whether Antetokounmpo stays or leaves.
Furthermore, Antetokounmpo cited that the future for his growing family will be a big factor in where he signs next.

I do not see why I could not be in Milwaukee for several years. As long as Milwaukee and I are on the same page when it comes to being one of the best teams in the league and winning championships, that’s fine. When it changes, it will not be good. It’s easy, I want to be a winner. I do not care about the money. My family is fine and I can take care of my children and grandchildren so that’s not the most important thing right now, it’s winning. As long as we can win and create a winning culture, it will be good,” the Bucks star added.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, of course, is already set for life following the $100 million extension he received from the Bucks in 2017. He has only gotten better with each passing season since then and has emerged as a Top 3 player in this league. If he seeks more financial stability, Milwaukee can actually offer him the largest payday of his life. Giannis can sign a supermax deal worth somewhere between $220 million and $250 million if he stays in Wisconsin.
However, he is projected to get a four-year deal worth between $140 million and $160 million if he decides to test free agency elsewhere.
The Bucks' brass, meanwhile, has already made it clear that they will not trade Giannis anytime next year regardless if he plans to stay or not. Looks like the 2020-21 campaign will indeed be a make or break season for Giannis' future in Milwaukee.
