Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been listed as doubtful for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but he is not giving up just yet and is holding out hope he can return sooner rather than later.
Head coach Mike Budenholzer talked about Antetokounmpo's health in length in his latest talk with the media, during which he praised the Bucks star for his “desire to play” and competitiveness. He also highlighted that while they will be cautious about his injury and the risks involved, Giannis is still doing everything he can to be available for the team.

Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended knee injury in Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks. It came in the third quarter of the contest after he tried to stop Clint Capela's dunk. Unfortunately, he fell awkwardly and his left knee was stretched awfully as he fell down and grimaced in pain while on the floor.

While it is unlikely that Giannis plays in Game 5 due to the small window for recovery, it remains to be seen if he'll be able to suit up come Game 6.
For what it's worth, though, former NBA star Chris Bosh said he doesn't expect the Bucks forward and two-time MVP to return not only in the East Finals but also in the whole 2021 playoffs because of the injury. According to Bosh, he has experienced the same injury during his career, so he has doubts if the Greek Freak can recover from it quickly.
Sure enough, Bucks fans will be hoping for the best in Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury. Nonetheless, it is certainly better for Milwaukee to expect he won't be back soon and for the team to prepare as such.
