The Milwaukee Bucks poured in 49 points in the second quarter of their 123-108 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, marking the Bucks' third highest-scoring quarter in franchise history and their best since 1991.

Milwaukee trailed by 12 points after the first quarter, only to explode in the second to take a 71-64 lead into halftime. The Bucks shot 58.1 percent overall and hit eight 3-pointers in the second-quarter explosion, with three players scoring in double figures.
Giannis Antetokounmpo notched 15 of his game-high 32 points in the frame, while Khris Middleton added 13 points and Brook Lopez notched 12. Lopez made all four of his triples in the quarter to wind up with those 12 points, and he finished the game with 21 in the scoring column. Middleton had 25 points despite shooting just 6-of-18 from the field.
Milwaukee's victory moved them to 4-0 on the young season under new head coach Mike Budenholzer. Coach Bud has instituted a pace-and-space attack that has made the Bucks' offense devastating with The Greek Freak leading the way.

Perhaps even more telling of the Bucks' new style is the nearly 41 3-pointers per game they're getting up. They're letting it loose from distance, which has unlocked a whole new dimension of their offense.
Antetokounmpo, of course, is what makes it all go, and he's looking like one of the early front-runners for MVP.

Milwaukee looks like a real problem in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks very well could challenge the assumed supremacy of the top three of Boston, Toronto and Philadelphia.
