On Monday, Kendrick Perkins argued that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is now showing shades of LeBron James during The King's dominant reign in the Eastern Conference. ESPN's NBA insider Brian Windhorst has now doubled down on this claim while also pointing out why he believes Giannis could actually be a cut above LeBron.

According to Windhorst, the Bucks star has not only reached LeBron territory but in fact, his defense makes him an even more potent threat than James ever was:

“Giannis as a defender is probably at a higher level than LeBron even ever was,” Windhorst claimed on a recent episode of ESPN's Get Up.

It's hard to argue against Windhorst's claim here. Giannis also has the 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year title to back up this claim. LeBron never won this individual accolade, although some might argue that he was robbed of the same in 2013.

Right now, though, it's Giannis that's in a prime position to take his team all the way this season. The Bucks are looking very good right now and they're fighting hard to defend their title. Unfortunately for him, LeBron James is stuck at home and is a mere spectator of the playoffs.
