Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell hit his first game-winner of the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. He then received some props from teammate Malik Beasley after the match, which DLoading re-tweeted accompanied by a one-word caption.

Losers of four of their last five games before Friday's contest at Chesapeake Energy Arena, D'Angelo Russell and the Timberwolves figured in another close game against the pesky Thunder team. However, Russell knew he had the game in his hands in the final 10 seconds of regulation and took it upon himself to give Minny a much-needed W. He toyed around Hamidou Diallo's defense before launching a deep 3-pointer a few steps beyond the line.

The one-time All-Star finished with 21 points, four rebounds and six assists on 7-of-13 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from long distance. More importantly, he gave the struggling Timberwolves its sixth win in 22 games. But as impressive as Russell's game-winner was, Minnesota still has a lot of work to do to at least be a competitive team this 2019-20 season. Their other superstar, Karl-Antony Towns, remains sidelined for the time being–which is a big factor for their losing spree.
The Timberwolves actually started the season 2-0 before their old habits caught up with them once more. Russell, for his part, has also struggled without the big guy in the middle, notching 19.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.2 steals entering the game against the Thunder.
For now, D'Lo can just sit back and enjoy the rare Timberwolves win. Hopefully, the team can use the newfound momentum to somehow turn their fortunes around this campaign.
