The Minnesota Timberwolves could possibly be without Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins against the New York Knicks on Sunday night.
The team reported that Towns (knee) and Wiggins (quad) are officially ruled as questionable ahead of tonight's matchup.
The Timberwolves defeated the Washington Wizards 135-130 on Saturday, spearheaded by a vigorous 40-point outing from Towns. He went down with an apparent leg injury in the game's final seconds.
“He's (Towns) just had initial evaluations, but he was walking around so there's really no info at the moment,” Saunders told reporters after the win.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Sunday that there is “optimism” about the MRI results of the All-Star center's right knee.
