When the Minnesota Timberwolves announced that Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler would miss Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz, the prevailing thought was Derrick Rose and Tyus Jones would get extended playing time in the backcourt together.
Then minutes before tipoff, the Timberwolves announced that Jones was going to miss the game as well due to soreness in his right foot. That left Rose all alone as the only point guard on the roster who was available to play. A 20, maybe 30-point night was in store for Rose since he was going to be taking a lot of shots.
However, there was one Derrick Rose fan out there who saw the former MVP scoring more than 30 points. In fact, this fan predicted Rose would score 50 points, a bold claim.

Well, that fan was 100 percent correct, as Derrick Rose put on a performance for the ages by scoring 50 points versus the Jazz, helping the Timberwolves win their second game in a row.
DRose about to have 50 tonight. https://t.co/MREVwrE3LF

Derrick Rose played 41 minutes and finished with 50 points while shooting 19-of-31 from the field, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line. He also dished out six assists, grabbed four rebounds, and had the game-winning block on Jazz guard Dante Exum at the end of regulation.
