There had been rumblings about the Minnesota Timberwolves looking to make a splash this offseason. It appears president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas has all but confirmed this notion.
Recent reports suggest that the Timberwolves have been aggressive in their search for a potential trade. And in his pre-draft conference, Rosas revealed that that Minnesota has contacted the whole league for a suitable partner:
Gersson Rosas said the Wolves have “reached out to every team to see what our options are” in terms of a trade.

Rosas' comments are telling of just how adamant Minnesota is about switching things up this offseason. Their aggressive approach is certainly understandable given how short the team has fallen of expectations in recent years.
Article Continues BelowRumors have now started to swirl about forward Andrew Wiggins being the player at the center of any potential trade packages they make. Wiggins has had ample time and opportunities to establish himself as a franchise cornerstone. Unfortunately, he has been unable to take that next step into becoming a star player. Now, it appears the Timberwolves are hoping to cash in on team's that are still intrigued by his potential.
Meanwhile, center Karl-Anthony Towns has already started a recruiting pitch of his own. He recently admitted how much he would like to pair up with Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell this offseason. He made it clear that he should be on Minnesota's radar if he becomes available.
Russell's future in Brooklyn appears to be tied to whether or not they are able to sign point guard Kyrie Irving in free agency. Regardless, is it clear that Rosas is looking to facilitate some moves before then.
