The Twitter investigators strike again. On the same day that it was revealed the Houston Rockets have renewed their bid to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler via a trade, an old tweet from Butler had been discovered referencing Houston.

Apparently back in 2011, Jimmy Butler was in Houston playing some hoops. Butler was born and raised in Tomball, Texas.

If he were traded to Houston, Jimmy Butler's past point guard would be Jeff Teague, and his new one would be Chris Paul.

The fact that people are consistently able to find relevant tweets from years ago that apply to what is happening in the present, is mind-boggling. It's happened too many times for it to be deemed a coincidence.

Jimmy Butler has requested a trade from the Timberwolves, but that request came almost six weeks ago. Minnesota head coach/president Tom Thibodeau doesn't want to trade his best player, while owner Glen Taylor wants to because he doesn't want to lose Butler for nothing in the summer of 2019.

Jimmy Butler, 29, can become an unrestricted free agent after the season ends. The four-time All-Star has reportedly told the Timberwolves he is not going to re-sign with the team. The saga just keeps on dragging on.
