It's no secret that Patrick Beverley is one of the more… entertaining characters in the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard's loudmouth attitude can certainly rub some fans the wrong way. However, no one can deny that he's incredibly hilarious to watch as a neutral fan.

After the Timberwolves upset Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, Patrick Beverley took to Twitter to talk some trash against his former team.

Knowing Beverley's character, the Timberwolves guard likely harbors a little grudge against the Grizzlies. After all, he was acquired by the latter team from the Los Angeles Clippers in the off-season, only to be dealt just a few hours later to his current team. Now, he was a presented with an opportunity to gloat against the team that passed on him. In true P-Bev fashion, he did that and then some.

Beverley has been having a quietly solid season with the Timberwolves. The hard-nosed guard's style of play has rubbed off on his teammates. While they're still nowhere near an elite team on defense, Beverley's presence has helped them become a passable team at the very least. That grit is what allows them to survive a horrid shooting night from Anthony Edwards.

At the moment, the Timberwolves are very clearly a work in progress. A deep post-season run, while not out of the question, is improbable barring some lucky breaks. However, that doesn't mean this season hasn't been a success. The core of Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and D'Angelo Russell has proven to be effective. It's just a matter of surrounding these guys with the right vets (like Beverley).
